Kathryn + Harrison {The Carriage House}

Getting Ready

The day started with lots of laughs and excitement at The Carriage House in Conroe, Tx. When we arrived, the girls were busy getting ready for the big event. Hair and makeup were in full swing and lots of fun was happening in the bridal suite. Kathryn has a laugh that’s contagious and it was so fun to photograph her!

Monica’s Brides and a Touch of Glitz Flowers was in the reception hall with EM Events and they were putting together Kathryn & Harrison’s dream wedding vision….which we happened to be obsessing over! Everything was timeless and beautiful, from the tablecloths, to the white lanterns on the tables, to the arch wrapped in greenery and roses.

First Look

There was rain in the forecast right when we arrived, so we quickly said hello to the Bride and Groom and then went outside to grab some photos of the venue. The Carriage House is stunning! Think modern, rustic barn with a warm aesthetic. The chapel behind the reception hall was classic and traditional. It had a white exterior, tall ceilings, and a steeple. The bright red doors leading into the space highlighted its vintage charm. Natural light coming in from the windows bounced off the white shiplap walls and was so perfect. This was our first wedding at this venue and it did not disappoint!

Kathryn shared with us when we went over her shot list a few months ago, that she really wanted portraits in front of the red chapel doors. We were thrilled when we went out later in the day for their first look there and the light was stunning. That was a big win after having a rainy forecast! We were so excited to share those special images with our couple. You’ll notice that they were always laughing with each other and having fun throughout the day. Harrison really knows how to make her smile which was so amazing to see!

Ceremony

The guests started arriving for the ceremony later that afternoon. Harrison’s sweet smile when he saw his bride coming down the aisle was priceless. They shared even more smiles later in the ceremony when getting advice from their pastor and talking about their future together. After they were finally announced Mr. & Mrs. Sellers, we did some portraits with their families while the other guests enjoyed cocktail hour. They made memories taking photos in the Cypress Photo Camper and enjoyed some drinks from the cutest vintage camper bar outside. The entire day went smoothly! Elizabeth from EM Events was there from start to finish and kept everything on track. We really enjoyed working with her and her team.

Wedding Party Portraits

Reception

Once the wedding party was introduced at the reception, the newlyweds immediately started dancing! Dinner from Mel’s Country Cafe, speeches and cake followed shortly after. The dessert table was an antique dresser. The drawers were overflowing with greenery and it was nothing short of amazing. Lots of dancing happened. David Sotelo Films was there to capture everything. We always love working and collaborating with them! Towards the end of the night, we took the couple outside for their last dance. They slow danced under a big tree filled with golden string lights. It was the perfect way to end the day. Thank you to Kathryn and Harrison for trusting us to capture your Best Day Ever. It was a dream!
