I'm an introvert at heart, which might sound like a strange thing for a wedding photographer to admit, but I think it's actually part of what makes me good at this. I'd always rather be behind the lens than in front of it. I understand completely if being photographed makes you feel a little exposed or self-conscious. That's exactly why I lean on candid prompts and easy, natural posing instead of stiff direction, so you can just be yourselves and I can capture what that actually looks like.
I was born in Houston and bounced around the area all my life. I married my high school sweetheart, Matthew, and we're raising our two little potatoes. Matthew isn't just my supportive hubby... he's been promoted to one of my associate shooters!

I've loved photography and art for as long as I can remember. Long before "wedding photographer" was ever the plan, I was shooting the sidelines as a photographer for The Battalion, Texas A&M's campus newspaper. Chasing the action at football and baseball games was one of the most exhilarating things I've ever done. Turns out, learning to anticipate a split-second play is pretty good training for catching the moments at a wedding you can't stage or repeat: the first look, the surprise tears, the unscripted laugh. Once you learn to catch a moment before it's gone, you never really stop.

Kathryn and I have been together since high school, and getting to photograph weddings with my best friend is something I'll never take for granted. As a paramedic by trade, I've learned to stay calm under pressure and pay attention to the little details. Those same qualities shape the way I photograph weddings!

I was born in West Virginia and have lived in the Houston, Texas area since 2000. When I was 15 years old, I found a love for photography while taking candid shots for the yearbook. I love capturing genuine moments, families laughing, proud graduates, curious kids, and the everyday moments our EMS crews create. I’m happiest outdoors, enjoy time in nature, and believe the best photos aren’t perfectly posed, they’re perfectly real.
